Pastor Brett Morey of Walhalla First Baptist Church is currently battling cancer in his neck, jawbone, and mouth. He is undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments to shrink the tumor and is scheduled for a complicated surgery in late October. The total cost of his surgery and cancer treatment is estimated to exceed $400,000, with Pastor Brett's personal responsibility for expenses around $26,000.

Many Baptist Association (BBA) churches are taking up a love offering on Sunday, October 5th, to support Pastor Brett during this challenging time. We encourage the congregation at Grace to contribute to this worthy cause. If you feel led to donate, you will find a special envelope in the bulletin on October 5th. Please place your offering in these envelopes and put them in the collection as it is passed around.

As it says in the scriptures, “Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Thank you for your support.
